## Job Title: Senior Buyer

### Mission:

As a Senior Buyer at Schneider Electric Norge AS, you will play a critical role in providing strategic and operational level purchasing support to the Residential Controls Segment. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Direct Parts Purchasing: Ensure the timely and accurate supply of purchased parts within the plant.
* Parts Productivity Improvements: Identify and implement initiatives to improve parts productivity and reduce costs.
* Indirect Parts Purchasing and Management: Procure and manage indirect parts, including services and capital.
* Purchasing Performance Reporting: Provide regular reporting on purchasing performance metrics.
* Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of parts.
* New Product Introduction (NPI) Projects: Represent the Buying team on NPI projects and support the sourcing of new components and materials.

### Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the set up and application of terms, including pricing, of purchased component parts as procured within the plant.
* Support the procurement/planning team to ensure the timing and accurate supply of Purchased parts within the plant.
* Support the Supply Chain Manager and Buyers within the SE Global Purchasing Groups in data preparation, projects, and activities relating to the group purchasing of components, raw materials, and services.
* Identify, qualify, project manage, and deliver material cost savings within the plant.
* Represent the Supply Chain team on NPI projects and support the sourcing of new components and materials.
* Be the first point of contact relating to any Direct Material Purchasing activities within the plant.
* Provide operational support in the procurement and management of all indirect purchase areas, including services and capital.

### Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years in a Purchasing role within a volume manufacturing plant.
* High level of computer/ERP literacy, including knowledge of business reporting, forecasting, financial, and business systems.
* Firm understanding of cross-functional inter-dependencies (operations, finance, supply chain).
* Project and process management, including an understanding of business process re-engineering methodologies.
* Experience in working on NPI project teams in the sourcing and selection of new components/materials.

### Education:

* Likely to be educated to degree level with a Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Procurement qualification or a related discipline.
* English B2.
