Job Title: Plant Maintenance Planner

Estimated Salary: £39,000 - £49,000 per annum

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company in the paper and hygiene product industry as a Plant Maintenance Planner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities include scheduling preventive and reactive maintenance, keeping maintenance records up to date, and issuing work orders to teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scheduling Maintenance: Use the CMMS system to plan maintenance efficiently.
  • Maintenance Records: Keep maintenance records up to date.
  • Work Orders: Issue work orders to teams and monitor completion and progress.
  • Reactive Tasks: Plan day-to-day reactive tasks in line with business needs.
  • Weekly Plans: Produce weekly plans in advance for engineering resources.
  • Scheduled Maintenance Outages: Plan all work and resources required for scheduled maintenance outages.
  • Engineering Tasks: Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering managers to ensure safe execution.
  • Purchasing: Ensure parts and services are purchased economically and available for planned work activities.
  • Critical Spares: Use SAP system to ensure critical spares are always held in stock.
  • Engineering Shut Plans: Support engineering team to build programs of work into engineering shut plans.

Requirements

  • A recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification is desirable.
  • High proficiency in CMMS and SAP systems is required.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance engineering is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Excel is necessary.
  • Proven experience in maintaining complex automated manufacturing equipment is a must.
