Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join their team in East Lancashire. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Company Overview

The school provides education to students aged 11-16 who are unable to attend mainstream education due to challenging behaviours. Class sizes are reduced to enable holistic support and meeting individual needs.

The ideal candidate will have professional or personal experience supporting young people with SEND, Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and learning difficulties, or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, and social communication.

Job Description

This temporary position offers the potential for a permanent role for the successful applicant. The salary for this role is approximately £25,000 per annum, reflecting the challenges and rewards of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Experience working with young people with complex needs.
  2. Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
