About the Role

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Platform Operations, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and scaling our production platform services across multiple public and private cloud data centers.

You will contribute to the architecture to improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance. You will execute and write automation code for provisioning and operating this infrastructure at massive scale. You will work with development and QA to support pipelines and automation for delivering and deploying production applications to this infrastructure.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support primary owners of our Public Cloud Platform tools, assisting in requirements gathering, architecting and maintaining the core platform, growing and supporting it at scale.
  • Work with standard Linux-based cloud systems in our existing public cloud AWS and GCP VPCs and the tools in those environments, while working with the team to build our presence in our new GKE Kubernetes environment.
  • Be a stakeholder in continuous security patching and hardening processes.
  • Provide support and guidance for teams migrating from Puppet 3 to Puppet 6/7, as well as other team initiatives, such as monitoring platform migrations.
  • Participate in the Platform Operations team's 24/7 on-call support rotation.
About You

We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented individual with experience in production operations, including installing, configuring and deploying Linux based operating systems.

Expertise in relevant technologies such as Centos 7 and SELinux is required, as well as knowledge of CI/CD process and framework to build/update base OS images.

Experience with common infrastructure tools like Puppet, LDAP, Nagios, Splunk, Artifactory, Infoblox, Jenkins, Rundeck, etc. is also necessary.

You should be able to automate solutions for complex and repetitive problems, and have a passion for solving hard problems using data-driven solutions.
