Job Description:

Our client, a leading mechanical engineering company, is seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Reading, Berkshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance and repairs on various sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on plant rooms, toilets, taps, risers, pumps, and valves

• Work on hot and cold water systems, including installation and maintenance

• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations

Requirements:

• Level 2 or 3 in plumbing or mechanical engineering

• Enhanced DBS check and a valid driver's license with less than 6 points

Benefits:

• Competitive salary of £36-43k depending on experience

• Travel time paid after 30 minutes

• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with a half-hour lunch break

• Overtime available

• Call-out mandatory on a 1 in 6/7 basis with a £200 per week retainer and paid at 1.5 times the door-to-door rate

• Statutory sick pay

• 20 + 8 days' holiday

• Van, fuel card, uniform, tablet, phone, and training provided

• Private use of van allowed

• Company pension scheme in place

• 6-month probation period

• Pay weekly or monthly to suit
