Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Static Site, Reading

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

On-Call: 1 in 2 weeks rotation

Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, 5% matched pension, optional private health and dental care

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a static site in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems
  2. Diagnose and repair faults across a range of mechanical equipment
  3. Respond to emergency breakdowns, providing swift resolutions
  4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  5. Collaborate with other engineers and site staff to maintain seamless operation
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in mechanical maintenance (ideally within a similar environment)
  2. Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  4. Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
