We are seeking a talented Associate Software Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test software applications using a variety of programming languages and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code meets our high standards of quality and maintainability.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications, high-level designs, and testing strategies.
  • Work closely with our business partners to understand their needs and develop software solutions that meet their requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design, and core programming concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong programming experience in at least one compiled language (C, C++, Java).
  • Full Stack Developer with experience working with React.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design.
  • Experience with industry-standard frameworks and tools, such as SpringBoot, DropWizard, Maven, Web/RESTful service development, etc.
