Job Description

This role involves working as a Utilities Engineer in Newry, supporting a multi-disciplined team to optimize company assets efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering and possess leadership skills.

Main Duties
  1. Oversee the Utilities Maintenance department's compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards.
  2. Coordinate with third-party contractors to ensure effective maintenance operations.
  3. Review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for engineering and maintenance activities, guaranteeing accuracy and currency.
  4. Lead the Utilities team in maintaining site systems and utilities to the highest standards, establishing benchmarks for performance.
  5. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting metrics for Utility assets.
  6. Evaluate maintenance schedules and document all completed work to ensure quality control.
  7. Maintain high team workmanship standards, aligning with agreed-upon criteria.
Essential Criteria
  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, etc.).
  • Possess 5+ years of experience post-apprenticeship or 2+ years post-graduation.
  • Demonstrate leadership experience, including coordination, planning, and execution of work.
  • Embody a continuous improvement mindset, embracing change and driving urgency to deliver results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in generating reports.
