Process Safety Specialist

Octric Semiconductors Ltd, a leading name in the compound semiconductor foundry space, is seeking an experienced Process Safety Specialist to join their team. With over 25 years of delivering high-quality devices to mission-critical defence and commercial applications, the company has ambitious plans for growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the site chemical plant operates in line with current legislation, guidance, and procedures. This includes inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential risks. The primary function of the role is to work closely with the HSE Department and Site Engineering Teams to highlight process, chemical, and equipment hazards, designing and implementing control measures to reduce risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement 'process safety systems'
- Perform HAZOP/CHAZOP assessments
- Sound understanding of Chemical Engineering / Chemistry and chemical plant
- Optimise 'Chemical Plant Design and Operation' using analytical capabilities
