We are seeking a compassionate and caring Residential Support Worker to join our team at Archer Care Recruitment Ltd. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing direct care, support, and guidance to children and young people within our residential homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment, promoting positive relationships and encouraging a sense of belonging.
- Encourage and facilitate the development of life skills, independence, and positive decision-making.
- Support children and young people in their education, assisting with homework, and promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals involved in the care of the children, ensuring effective communication and a holistic approach to support.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings.
