We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Control Manager to join our team at NatWest Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting and ensuring the integrity of our external disclosures.
Your primary focus will be on leading the simplification and standardisation of our external reporting production process, promoting a culture of data understanding and information quality within the team. You will also be accountable for setting the control framework and deliverable governance framework aligned to our overall strategy, ensuring adherence to our operating model and process architecture principles.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you will:
- Actively participate in strategic initiatives to drive business growth and improvement
- Drive a continuous improvement culture within the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Support the Risk & Finance Data Transformation programme, ensuring seamless integration with our financial reporting processes
- Set and manage internal controls, including the development of a robust control framework
- Establish strong analytical procedures over our disclosures, ensuring accuracy and transparency
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong background in accounting and accounting standards, with experience in implementing business process and procedural change in a complex business environment. You will also possess significant experience in financial control and external reporting profiles, with the ability to implement operating model and strategic change, drive cultural change, and achieve team objectives using a range of methods.
We are looking for an individual with excellent transferable experience of working in a large multinational financial services environment, preferably in an external reporting team. You will have extensive experience leading, motivating, and directing a small team, and ideally have experience of working globally.
