Job Title: Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at MyWork. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading financial processes, providing strategic advice, and contributing to the company's future success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Complete the month-end process, reconciliations, variance analysis, and produce consolidated management accounts for the group.
  • Accounting Oversight: Manage all financial reporting, tax, and audit requirements, including quarterly and annual accounts, transactions (accounts payable to receivable), and operational finance.
  • Process Development: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls across the group, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable: Oversee the full cycle of accounts receivable and payable from invoicing to receipt.
  • Payroll & HMRC Compliance: Manage the payroll function to ensure timely and accurate processing and take responsibility for HMRC submissions, including RTI PAYE quarterly tax instalments and VAT returns.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO on finance improvement projects and assist with ad-hoc requirements, including identifying cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Degree-level education, ideally in Maths, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to improve financial processes and internal controls.
  • Strong understanding of operational requirements and the ability to translate them into financial metrics, targets, and budgets.
  • Experience managing financial relationships and being involved in commercial negotiations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling/budgeting experience are highly desirable.
  • A proactive approach to cost-saving and rationalisation initiatives.
