About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team at Booker Group. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to achieve corporate goals and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Unload supplier's vehicles, perform checks to company standards, and process products in accordance with client requirements.
  • Operate a powered pallet truck to ensure products are received, checked, and stored safely and efficiently.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures, including wearing safety clothing and footwear, and adhering to mechanical handling equipment procedures.
  • Ensure the warehouse and site are kept clean, tidy, and in a safe condition at all times.
  • Cooperate fully with other departments and maintain a professional and polite attitude.
  • Work to targets and maintain an accurate and methodical approach to work.

Requirements

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Good team player with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
