Experienced Quantity Surveyor Wanted for Pre-Construction Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's operational team in a Pre-Construction role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cost estimating, tendering, delivery, and management of various projects, as well as providing regular updates on project performance.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out day-to-day administration of commercial and financial aspects of projects.
- Close liaison with Project Management Teams.
- Aid in bid submissions.
- Prepare cost and value reporting.
- Prepare commercial performance reports.
- Manage procurement, including labour, plant, materials, and subcontract.
- Contribute to monthly board reports via the Commercial Manager.
- Cost control.
- Cash collection.
- Subcontract management and liaison.
- Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor at the pre-construction stage for a construction company or solid experience ready to take a step into a more senior role.
- Strong negotiation skills to work with subcontractors and clients to reach positive commercial terms and minimize commercial risks to the business.
- Good technical knowledge and skills in the construction sector and a good knowledge of commonly used contracts and frameworks.
- A degree/HND or equivalent in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or other construction-related subject or substantial previous experience in a similar position.
- A commercially and contractually astute individual that takes ownership of performance.
- A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Results-driven with the capability of working on their own initiative.
- Ability to deal with large amounts of data accurately and efficiently.
- High attention to detail.
