Lead Electronic Design Engineer

Seismic Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electronic Design Engineer to join our team in Chard, Somerset. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of our innovative and sustainable products, working closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of electronic systems and circuits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our engineering teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet our product requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure smooth production and quality control.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve our product designs.

Requirements:

  • Significant knowledge and experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading design work in a similar manufacturing business.
  • Commercial experience, including negotiation techniques, supply chain management, and customer relationship development.
  • Expertise in embedded & power electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout & simulation, using Altium Designer.
  • Strong understanding of microprocessor, analogue & digital design, and ability to diagnose and mitigate EMC/EMI problems.
  • Experience in consumer products, power electronics, portable devices, power tools, and best practice design guides, rules, manufacturing & assembly techniques.
