Nursery Chef Job Description

Based in Tooting, our clients are seeking an experienced Nursery Chef who is a skilled Chef working with the current Kitchen Team to create delicious culinary experiences for our children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, a good awareness of nutrition and healthy eating, and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Kitchen Team to create and prepare meals for 150+ children
  • Develop and implement menu planning, recipe development, and cost control strategies
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and quality
  • Lead and motivate the Kitchen Team to achieve excellent results
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Food & Hygiene Level Certificate Level 3 (or at least a level 2)
  • Proven experience as a Chef
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, and culinary techniques
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
