About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to a young boy who requires 24-hour care and therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the child to achieve their full potential and participate in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times, including during sleepovers and outings.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the child, their family, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of the child's care plan, ensuring their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.

Requirements:

  • Patience, compassion, and resilience to work with children who may have experienced trauma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with the child, their family, and other professionals.
  • A driving license to transport the child to appointments and activities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleepovers and weekends.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills in residential childcare.
