Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and clinically capable Band 5 Trained Nurse to join our nursing team at Newquay Community Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the ward and multi-disciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant inpatient ward experience and excellent organisational, communication, and clinical skills. They will be able to work effectively as part of a team and provide mentorship to pre and post-registration students and healthcare assistants.
The role requires a flexible approach to working hours, including early, late, and night shifts on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will be based at Newquay Community Hospital but may be required to support other hospitals in the locality as service needs dictate.

Main Responsibilities- Assessing care needs and developing and implementing programmes of care in the ward setting
- Providing leadership and guidance to the nursing team
- Mentoring pre and post-registration students and healthcare assistants
- Contributing to the development of the ward and multi-disciplinary team
- Evidence of team working and leadership skills
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Experience of working in a community hospital and care of the elderly setting
- First degree or diploma (or working towards)
