Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure the welfare and safety of children and adults in the nursery.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, including room ratios, rotas, and record-keeping.
  3. Collaborate with the management team to achieve the nursery's goals and objectives.
  4. Provide high-quality care and education to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of the nursery's curriculum and policies.
  6. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  7. Work closely with parents and staff to ensure a smooth transition for new children and maintain open communication.

Requirements:

  1. A full and relevant level 2/3 qualification as defined by the Children's Workforce Development Council.
  2. DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
  3. Paediatric 12h first aid certificate, safeguarding training, and qualification, and one year's post-qualifying experience.
