Banana Moon Bromley Nursery Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic nursery practitioner to join our dedicated team at Banana Moon Bromley. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the leadership of our happy nursery, where we focus on encouraging children to be children through fun and engaging play.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure operational policies and procedures are implemented and relevant legislation is met.
  2. Adhere to room ratios in line with policy and rotas.
  3. Ensure daily room registers and records of children in attendance are accurate.
  4. Adhere to Health and Safety policies, completing risk assessments, hazard logs, and documentation as set out in the operational plan.
  5. Be alert to issues of safeguarding, ensuring the welfare and safety of children and adults is paramount, recording and reporting any concerns to the DSL.
  6. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in practice, ensuring relevant documentation is completed as required.
  7. Administer first aid and medication as appropriate and keep the manager informed of any actions.
  8. Oversee the settling in of new children in a sensitive manner, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed, liaising closely with parents and staff to ensure home life and children's interests are utilised for reassurance.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A full and relevant level 2/3 qualification as defined by the Children's Workforce Development Council.
  2. DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
  3. Paediatric 12h first aid certificate, safeguarding training and qualification, and one year's post-qualifying experience.
