Pharmacy Support Worker Role

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Support Worker to join their team at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.
The successful candidate will be working with the aseptic dispensing team to undertake supportive roles which are integral to the delivery of team objectives. The unit prepares a range of products including total parenteral nutrition (TPN), complex Central Intravenous Additive Systems (CIVAS), systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) as well as Advanced Therapeutic Investigative Medicinal Products (ATiMPs).
Key responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of aseptic products, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the development of clinical trials on site. The post holder will also undergo training to develop new skills and demonstrate competency for the role.
