Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Complex Needs Support Assistant to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment. As a Complex Needs Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Communication Needs, and PMLD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with complex needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and medical sessions.
  • Assist with personal care, including toileting, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to students who may be experiencing anxiety or distress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to teaching staff and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with complex needs.
  • Qualifications in a relevant field, such as special education or healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
