We are seeking two Specialty Doctors to join our Dementia Inpatient Unit at the Forget Me Not Unit in Worthing. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with dementia.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of new admissions, considering their mental and physical health.
- Develop and implement individualized management plans, working closely with consultants and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide specialist psychiatric treatment and aftercare services to patients aged 18 and above.
- Lead and mentor junior medical staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development of local mental health services, aligning with the Trust's aims and objectives.
We are looking for candidates with:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- 4 years of full-time postgraduate training or higher, with at least 2 years in a specialty training program in a relevant specialty.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- In good standing with the GMC, with no warnings or conditions on practice.
