We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team at the NHS Business Services Authority. As a key member of our Cyber Security Operations Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure and information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and review security alerts and security tooling information to ensure the security of our network infrastructure and information systems.
- Analyse technical, security, and statistical data to resolve complex security issues and escalate when necessary.
- Identify security threats through research and investigation, providing timely analysis and evaluation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Information Security function to conduct risk assessments and develop security strategies.
- Provide security awareness training to non-security staff on the safe and secure use of information technology.
- Maintain an understanding of the latest cyber security threat landscape and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Work within our policies, standing orders, financial regulations, and legislative requirements to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers to deliver high-quality secure technology services.
- Create and maintain operating instructions, user guides, and reference/training material for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Complete assigned tasks to a high quality and within agreed timelines, proactively proposing improvements to enhance own and business areas.
- Exposure to one or more security tools.
- Basic understanding of secure development.
- Inquisitive and self-motivated with a strong focus on customer service.
- Recent security or support experience, with experience of working as part of a team to provide a service to customers.
- Experience of effectively learning new skills and developing oneself.
