Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant Role

This Trainee SEN Teacher role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in special education needs. You will be based in local schools, working with children with designated Education Health Care Plans.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing teaching and support to pupils, following individualized curriculums
- Supporting the delivery of lessons and activities, focusing on life skills
- Supporting pupils' participation in trips, applying theory-based learning to practice
- Providing behaviorally based support to reduce behaviors impacting quality of life
- Providing personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable hygiene levels
- Monitoring pupil progress, ensuring teaching is effective for each child's needs
- Assisting with break time duties, including playground support and snack time
Application Requirements:
- Experience of working with children and disabilities
- GCSE Grade C/4 in English Language & Maths or equivalent
- Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations
- UK Drivers license and a car or access to a lift (desirable not essential)
Salary: £22,100 - £26,000 FTE per year
