About the Role
The Tutbury Practice is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly village GP surgery team. As a key member of our practice team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our practice.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties of the role include:
- Providing general assistance to the practice team and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors
- Receiving, assisting, and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way
- Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice
- Facilitating effective communication between patients, members of the primary healthcare team, secondary care, and other associated healthcare agencies
- Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
- Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures and scanning of clinical documents
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualifications
Essential qualifications include:
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and maths
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
About Us
The Tutbury Practice is a rural practice based in Tutbury, Burton on Trent, with a practice population of over 8,527 patients. Our clinical team consists of 2 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, a clinical pharmacist, and a well-established nursing team, complemented by a friendly and established admin and reception team.
