The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Allied Health Professional to fill a maternity leave cover position within our expert education team.

This role will lead on the delivery of specific workstreams such as student supervision or creating CPD for our Allied Health Professionals.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they remain abreast of the developments in practice and implement/lead changes and foster an environment of enquiry and evidence-based care within the Allied Health Profession departments.

Academic/Professional qualification/Training

Essential

  • Educated to at least Diploma level in relevant health care or allied health professional related subject.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development within the clinical speciality.

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification (PG Certificate Clinical Education or equivalent) or willingness to undertake.
  • Postgraduate degree qualification.

Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience either within education or the clinical environment.
  • Understanding of inter-professional education.
  • Understanding of professional and current issues in allied health (including pharmacy, optometry, social work, psychology, or play).
  • Management of poor performance.

Skills/Abilities

Essential

  • Excellent relevant clinical skills as an allied health professional (including pharmacy, optometry, social work, psychology, or play).
