Job Title: Clinical Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Fellow to join our team at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical education and a passion for teaching and mentoring.

About the Role

This is a full-time post that will involve a combination of clinical and teaching duties. The Clinical Fellow will work closely with our Undergraduate Education team to develop and deliver teaching programs for undergraduate medical students, postgraduate learners, and other healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and experience in teaching and mentoring. They will be responsible for preparing and delivering teaching materials, supervising junior medical staff, and participating in informal and formal clinical teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver teaching programs for undergraduate medical students, postgraduate learners, and other healthcare professionals
  • Prepare and deliver teaching materials, including websites and equipment
  • Supervise junior medical staff and participate in informal and formal clinical teaching
  • Participate in audit and research projects related to education and clinical ophthalmology
  • Contribute to the development of the Moorfields Academy and participate in its running
Person Specification
  • Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice or eligible to apply
  • ST3 or equivalent (or higher) in training programme
  • Evidence of formal and informal teaching experience and effective teaching skills
