About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in nursing management to lead our ward team. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in a similar environment and be registered with the NMC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the attainment of national quality and safety objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, enabling them to take on responsibilities and carry out their roles effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safe medication storage and administration policies.
  • Undertake relevant clinical skills training and supervise other nurses in their daily work.
  • Collaborate with the Matron to implement infection prevention measures and minimize risks.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external teams regarding patient care and essential information.
  • Communicate complex information, such as breaking bad news, with empathy and professionalism.
  • Keep accurate and legible records in accordance with local policies and NMC guidelines.
