About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Interim Deputy Manager to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our Home Manager to deliver high-quality care and services to vulnerable young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Home Manager: Assist in achieving compliance with regulatory frameworks, organisational objectives, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Deputise in the Manager's Absence: Take on leadership responsibilities and provide creative and innovative solutions to support the home in delivering excellent services.
- Participate in the Company's Out-of-Hours Service: Be available to provide support and guidance to staff and individuals outside of regular working hours.
- Support Staff Team: Assist with the transition of residents in and out of the home, coordinate recruitment processes, and lead interviews for new staff.
- Mentor New Staff: Provide guidance and support to new staff members during their induction into the home.
- Supervise Staff: Support the supervision of all staff and report on compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with a working towards Level 4.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a care home or children's home, with at least 1 year in a team leader or senior role.
- Skills: Good understanding of the Positive Behaviour Support framework and Active Support mode, experience of direct support with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
- Leadership: Ability to work independently, meet targets, and supervise staff.
- Knowledge: Awareness of new developments, standards, and best practices in the sector.
