Job Title: Interim Deputy Manager
Job Summary:
Vetro Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Interim Deputy Manager to join our team in Cardiff. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our Home Manager to improve the lives of vulnerable young people with complex needs associated with autism transition into adulthood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Home Manager to achieve compliance with regulatory frameworks, organisational objectives, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Deputise in the manager's absence and lead the team with creativity and innovation to deliver excellent services.
- Participate in the Company's out-of-hours service and support the staff team with resident transitions.
- Coordinate the home's recruitment process and lead interviews for new staff.
- Act as a mentor to new staff and coordinate their induction into the home.
- Support the supervision of all staff and report on compliance.
Requirements:
- A QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and working towards your Level 4.
- At least 2 years of experience working within a care home or children's home.
- At least 1 year of experience as a team leader or senior role.
- A good understanding of the Positive Behaviour Support framework and the Active Support mode.
- Experience of direct support with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
- Experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets, and supervise staff.
- Awareness of new developments, standards, and best practices in the sector.
