Job Summary

The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our CAMHS team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide high-quality care and support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, formulate, and deliver treatment options to children and young people.
  • Hold a caseload of young people with complex emotional and mental health needs, providing input into referral processes and referral meetings.
  • Provide consultation to multidisciplinary team staff from wider CAMHS services to share relevant expert advice.
  • Undertake risk assessment, care planning, and routine outcome measures, managing a caseload for treatment delivery and review.
  • Supervise Nursing Associates within the pathway, providing case management and clinical supervision.
Key Requirements
  • Postgraduate study to Masters Level or equivalent in a field related to nursing in mental health and/or learning disability.
  • Experience of working as a non-medical prescriber and in a senior role in care of children and young people with mental health needs and/or learning disability.
  • Contributed to and worked as a member of a multidisciplinary team, implementing protocols and clinical guidelines.
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health or Registered Nurse Learning Disability, with a recognized qualification in non-medical prescribing.
