About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PIM Engineer to join our team at Abcam. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and delivering technical and coding changes to our Product Information Management (PIM) application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solution design options and recommendations for changes to the data model and the PIM application.
  • Drive continuous improvement and seek out efficiencies and functional enhancements, delivering proofs of concept where necessary to validate.
  • Understand the impact of functional changes in PIM (functional and data) on related product platforms and integrations.
  • Collaborate with the offshore support team and product data architect to influence design and architectural improvements.
  • Support the delivery of business rule changes and the triage and implementation of fixes for incident management.
  • Support the offshore team to maintain and improve stability and technical reliability of PIM.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of integration technologies such as MuleSoft and Kafka.
  • Knowledge of PHP and Symfony 5.0 applications.
  • Relevant experience working in a scientific data management capacity, preferably in an e-commerce environment or life science experience in general.
  • Experience of working alongside data architects, data engineers, data modelers, data quality analysts, and data governance teams, and end users of the data.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and practical experience of delivering products using agile approaches.
