Substance Misuse Lead Nurse Opportunity

Spectrum Community Health CIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Lead Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team in Health and Justice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our substance misuse service, providing robust clinical leadership and operational guidance to staff, and managing a skilled team of nurses.

We are looking for a nurse with excellent leadership skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and a passion for patient care. The ideal candidate will have advanced nursing knowledge, an understanding of NICE guidelines, and a desire to be involved in key decision-making.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the daily operations of the substance misuse service, including coordination of patient care and provision of strong clinical leadership.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and providing advice and administering care to patients.
  • Demonstrating knowledge, skills, and understanding of health issues and treatment options.

The successful candidate will also be expected to:

  • Have a post-registration experience in substance misuse.
  • Have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Have an understanding of clinical governance and recovery-based models.
  • Have experience of leading a team and change management.
