As a key member of our team at Complete Security Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a reliable, courteous, efficient and effective service to our clients across London and the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support for Fire and Security systems, including fault finding and maintenance.
  2. Maintain a positive image of the company to the customer at all times, through high standards of dress and customer communications.
  3. Ensure that any company vehicle provided is maintained in good working order.
  4. Attend and contribute to regular engineers meetings.
  5. Maintain a high level of personal performance and attendance.
  6. A flexible approach to working hours.
  7. Adhere to the company's Management Systems.
  8. Positive can-do attitude is essential as you need to be able to work under own initiative.
Expected Deliverables
  1. Able to service and maintain Fire and Security systems of various sizes and complexity.
  2. Able to carry out system takeovers including completion of all documentation.
  3. Ensure that the appropriate spares, consumables and test equipment required to complete assigned tasks are available on the company vehicle provided.
  4. Accurate and efficient fault reporting.
  5. To be an active member of the on-call team.
  6. At the completion of each visit close or update the system with the call status and relevant associated documents.
  7. Working under own initiative.
  8. Providing Customer systems Training.
Additional Senior Engineer Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support for other engineers.
  2. Provide fault finding support to other engineers.
  3. Provide training for other engineers.
  4. Assisting team leader with auditing of engineers and subcontractors.
Administration
  1. Provide good quality written details of activities completed at customers' sites.
  2. Report any site left non-operational following a site visit.
  3. Fully complete all paperwork/time sheets/electronic mail in a timely manner.
  4. Report near misses.
Sales
  1. Make recommendations for additions/replacements to improve customers existing systems and feed this information back to the Company.
  2. Provide accurate information to enable quotations to be prepared for the customer.
Health and Safety

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following:

  1. The Health & Safety at Work Act, along with all statutory health, safety and environmental regulations.
  2. Health & Safety policy and applying policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential
  1. Full Driving Licence.
  2. Working knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel.
  3. Working knowledge of a variety of Fire and Security systems commonly used such as Advanced, SMS, Gent, Kentec, Galaxy, Pyronix, Texecom, AXIS, Hanwha, Hikvision, Honeywell Pro, Paxton, Genetec, Halo vape.
  4. This role requires a sound understanding of Fire, CCTV, Access control, Intruder alarm. You will come across a vast range of systems new and old in addition to the systems detailed above as is the nature of this role.
  5. Minimum 5 years experience working on Fire and Security systems with a sound knowledge of current regulations.
Desirable
  1. CSCS/ECS, Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, First Aid.
Location and Travel Requirements

Operate throughout the South and East of England. Engineers are provided with a vehicle of suitable size and fuel card.

Remuneration Range and Benefits Available

Salary: £38-40,000 per year. OTE 55K, 40 hours a week. 08:00-16:30. Occasional night work may be required, notified in advance. Overtime available, opportunity to earn more if desired. Travel time paid after 30 min each way. 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays. Company Laptop, Company Phone, Van + fuel card. Company training days, Company summer and Xmas days out, Pension, Rewards and incentive package Perkbox 120 flexi points every month, Quarterly bonus (On some contracts).
