About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Officer to join our team in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. As an EHS Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK EHS legislation and regulations, conducting risk assessments, and developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits and maintain records.
  • Manage digital EHS systems and compile monthly reports.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
  • Assist in the development and communication of EHS policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Monitor and manage environmental aspects and ensure compliance.
  • Act as the primary EHS contact at the site level and liaise with regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and EHS audits.
  • Proficiency in using digital EHS management systems and tools.
