Job Title: Planning Team Leader

Princes Limited is seeking a highly skilled Planning Team Leader to join our team in Cardiff. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal operational efficiency and lowest cost through the delivery of targets against the strategic objectives of the function: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports, including 2 Production Planners and 2 Materials Schedulers
  • Develop and implement effective planning strategies to achieve production targets
  • Collaborate with the Planning and Logistics Manager and Warehouse Manager to support the Planning department
  • Ensure accurate and achievable production plans for all factory lines
  • Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and material usage variance reporting
  • Support the delivery of the MES project and deputize for the Planning & Logistics Manager as required
Requirements:
  • Previous management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong systems knowledge, including SAP and ERP systems
  • Experience of working in a just-in-time production environment
  • Excellent Excel skills and ability to analyze data
  • Knowledge of master data and ability to interrogate issues
