Decorative Artisan

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team at The HireWorks Ltd in Cambridge. This is a full-time permanent position, working on-site in Cambridge on a 37.5 hour week.

• Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating tasks, ensuring high-quality finishes and attention to detail.
• Apply various paints and coatings to meet the required standards of colour, texture, and finish.
• Hanging wallpaper and lining paper to create aesthetically pleasing environments.
• Replace and repair glass items, maintaining their functionality and appearance.
• Install ceramic tiles to provide durable and attractive surfaces.
• Carry out minor carpentry tasks to support the decoration process.

• Candidate must hold City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Painting and Decorating.
• Proven experience in painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of work.
• Excellent knowledge of painting techniques, including colour theory and application methods.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills, enabling efficient resolution of challenges and issues.

£30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
