About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our retail team at the National Trust. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in growing our Fashion, Children's & Outdoor business commercially and innovatively.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the buyer to develop and implement range plans that meet budgets and drive commercial growth.
- Identify and develop new opportunities to meet business objectives, including negotiating with suppliers and building relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to achieve team KPIs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in buying and merchandising, with a strong understanding of the UK retail market and supply base.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of buying planning systems and experience of range building, product management, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
