Job Title: NHS Senior Nurse

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NHS Senior Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our research governance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of patients and ensure care is delivered according to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Attend Multi-disciplinary Meetings and recruit new patients for research studies.
  • Ensure trial-specific clinical investigations and procedures are undertaken as required by the research protocol.
  • Take relevant samples and ensure safe and appropriate storage of specimens.
  • Ensure all team members undertake relevant training and assessment of competence.
  • Lead in the delivery of studies within relevant specialities and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the review of study protocols and contribute to the feasibility/study selection process.
  • Randomise/enrol patients into clinical trials or other research studies.
Requirements:
  • Experience in clinical research and governance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of research governance frameworks and regulations.
