NHS Senior Nurse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled NHS Senior Nurse to join our Research and Development team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of several clinical research studies and teams, ensuring the safe conduct of research in accordance with regulatory and legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring high standards and continuity of clinical care for study participants.
- Ensure trial-specific clinical investigations/procedures are undertaken as required by the research protocol.
- Take relevant samples, package, and dispatch as defined, ensuring safe and appropriate storage of specimens.
- Ensure all team members undertake relevant training and assessment of competence prior to undertaking clinical procedures/administration of treatments.
- Lead in the delivery of studies within relevant specialities, ensuring they meet requirements with regards to the Department of Health's Research Governance Framework for Health and Social Care and the EU Clinical Trials legislation.
- Assist in the review of study protocols and contribute to the feasibility/study selection process, advising on safety, regulatory, and logistical issues.
- Work with research teams and investigators to develop strategies to overcome barriers to recruitment and solve other problems relating to specific studies.
