Job Title: Risk Technology Lead

At Primark, we're seeking a highly skilled Risk Technology Lead to join our Technology team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the robustness, reliability, and recoverability of our infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resilience strategy to ensure our systems can withstand and recover from disruptions, minimizing operational risks.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of technology recovery capabilities, including IT disaster recovery and technology crisis management.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Primark to enable and grow technology resilience across the business.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify resilience concerns and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end technology recovery capabilities in accordance with the Technology Recovery Framework.
  • Lead the technology recovery incident response team in the event of a technology disaster, coordinating efforts across multiple regions, teams, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience working at mid to senior level within technology resilience, disaster recovery, and IT operations roles.
  • Significant knowledge of technology infrastructure, architecture, and cloud computing.
  • Experienced in IT Service Delivery (ITIL environments), technology business alignment, and technology transformation programs.
  • Ability to take an end-to-end view across technology architecture, technology operations, and IT service delivery and apply it to relevant business contexts.
  • ITIL/IT Service Management accreditation.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management techniques.
  • Proficient in project management principles and practices.
