About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Control and Instrumentation Defect Technician to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our thermal power station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate plant failures and defects, and implement remedial action to achieve effective resolution.
  • Manage and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring work is executed successfully, safely, and on time.
  • Direct site personnel, including contractors, to perform engineering works.
Requirements
  • HNC level or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, with experience in an engineering or maintenance position at a thermal power station or heavy industry.
  • Proven experience in managing and supervising contract and in-house resources, providing safety and technical leadership.
  • Comprehensive understanding of control & instrumentation systems, plant, and equipment within the remit of the role.
