About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Ball Tree Croft, a registered residential service providing person-centred care and support for individuals with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals to maintain their health and well-being, including managing budgets and documenting activities in care plans.
  • Organise and prioritise work, co-ordinate tasks, and meet deadlines to minimise disruption to the business.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and colleagues, ensuring their views are heard and needs are met.
  • Provide direction, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Continuously improve and innovate services, maintaining a sympathetic and understanding attitude when dealing with challenging behaviour.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs, including English Language and Maths, or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • NVQ 3 in Care or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • NVQ 4 in Management or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Relevant organisational knowledge of systems, procedures, and policies in specialist areas.
  • Knowledge of disability issues and the needs of older people.
  • Significant experience of working with adults with disabilities.
  • Experience of involving service users and carers in planning, developing, and evaluating services.
