Job Title: Business Quality Assessor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Quality Assessor to join our team at NVQ Assessor. As a Business Quality Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our apprenticeship programs and providing expert assessment services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of apprenticeship assessments to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
  • Deliver exceptional assessment services to apprentices and employers, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and impartiality
  • Produce accurate and well-informed assessment feedback and reports, using regulatory paperwork and systems as required
  • Maintain a deep understanding of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans, with a focus on the sectors listed above
  • Engage with internal quality assurance processes, undertaking internal quality assurance roles as required
  • Participate in moderation, standardization, and development activities, as well as contribute to the review and growth of new assessment materials and learning resources
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of NVQ Assessor's internal policies and processes, adhering to them at all times
  • Adhere to the highest quality standards in assessment practice and report any suspected or actualized breaches of confidentiality or malpractice/maladministration
  • Proactively recognize and manage risk, ensuring a smooth customer experience and journey
Requirements:
  • Ability to assess apprenticeship standards, with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in classroom environments
  • At least 2 years' experience of competence-based interviewing within the last 5 years
  • Current knowledge of regulatory frameworks, safeguarding, duty of care, equality, diversity, and inclusion, and health and safety
  • Clear and current DBS check
  • Relevant Assessor qualification (D32/33, A1, TAQA equivalent) or EPA qualification, with robust knowledge of assessment practice and techniques
  • Functional Skills Level 2 English and maths qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Experience in assessing work-based learning and producing clear, accurate, and concise written reports
  • Sound IT and digital literacy skills, with experience of working with Microsoft packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of providing supportive and concise feedback
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Evidence of up-to-date sector knowledge and relevant CPD
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt to different environments and solve problems independently
Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Experience of End-Point Assessment delivery
  • Understanding of supervising others to deliver National Curriculum requirements
  • Ability to assess the Lead Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
  • Experience in engaging with External Quality Assurance activities
  • Relevant Internal Quality Assurer Qualification (D34, V1)
  • Able to assess the Learning and Skills Teacher and Learner Mentor Apprenticeship Standards
