Job Title: Business Quality Assessor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Quality Assessor to join our team at NVQ Assessor. As a Business Quality Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our apprenticeship programs and providing expert assessment services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of apprenticeship assessments to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
  • Deliver exceptional assessment services to apprentices and employers, providing fair, reliable, and consistent assessment experiences
  • Produce accurate and well-informed assessment feedback and reports, using regulatory paperwork and systems as required
  • Maintain a deep understanding of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans, particularly in the sectors of Business Administrator, Customer Service, Teaching Assistant, and Assessor Coach
  • Engage in internal quality assurance processes, undertaking internal quality assurance roles as required
  • Participate in moderation, standardization, and development activities, and lead these activities as necessary
  • Support the development and delivery of training for freelance associate End-Point Assessors and other external customers
  • Stay up-to-date with ongoing CPD relevant to assessment and internal quality assurance practices, the wider apprenticeship landscape, and the industry for which you assess
Requirements:
  • Ability to assess Business Administrator, Customer Service, Teaching Assistant, and Assessor Coach Apprentice Standards
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in classroom environments
  • At least 2 years' experience of competence-based interviewing within the last 5 years
  • Current knowledge of the regulatory framework and other regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Clear and current DBS check
  • Relevant Assessor qualification (D32/33, A1, TAQA equivalent) or EPA qualification with robust knowledge of assessment practice and techniques
  • Functional Skills Level 2 English and maths qualifications
  • Experience in assessing work-based learning
  • Able to travel to conduct on-site assessments
  • Sound IT and digital literacy skills with experience of working with Microsoft packages
  • Experience in producing clear, accurate, and concise written reports
  • Experience in organizing and processing internal quality assurance practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Evidence of up-to-date sector knowledge and relevant CPD
Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Experience of End-Point Assessment delivery
  • Understanding of supervising others to deliver National Curriculum requirements
  • Ability to assess Lead Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
  • Experience in engaging with External Quality Assurance activities
  • Relevant Internal Quality Assurer Qualification (D34, V1)
  • Able to assess Learning and Skills Teacher and Learner Mentor Apprenticeship Standards
