Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Disability Evaluator to join our team at Reactive Recruitment. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments to determine the level of permanent disablement caused by a Troubles-Related Incident.

As a Clinical Disability Evaluator, you will work closely with applicants to gather relevant information, analyze clinical data, and compile comprehensive reports to support the Victims Payments Board (VPB) in its decision-making process.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience, which can open new doors for you in the future. Many of our clinical assessors go on to become Operations Managers, Clinical Trainers, Clinical Coaches, and Quality Auditors.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Meet face-to-face with applicants and review medical evidence to determine the permanence of their condition and percentage of disablement.
  • Play a proactive role in seeking additional medical evidence from GPs, healthcare professionals, or services to support the applicant's TPDPS application.
  • Gather relevant information from applicants and analyze clinical data, along with other supporting evidence.
  • Compile comprehensive reports, including a detailed history, full justification, and conclusion, to support the VPB in its decision-making process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A fully registered medical practitioner, psychologist, registered nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or social worker.
  • Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the GMC/NMC/HCPC/NISCC and a valid PIN.
  • A valid full driving license and access to a car.
  • Demonstrable background in Mental Health/Psychiatric speciality.
  • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales.
  • Report writing skills with an ability to deal with a high volume of work using a laptop and IT systems.
  • Strong analytical skills familiar with MS Office, particularly Excel/Word, and PowerPoint.

We offer a competitive basic salary of £38,500 per annum. Our career pathway programme can increase your salary up to £41,400 plus up to 10% bonus. Other benefits include:
