About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead and manage the construction of multiple solar farms in Scotland, with responsibility for overseeing additional solar projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and final handover, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and plans to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Oversee multiple solar projects across the UK, focusing on the 50MW project in Scotland, and provide expertise in all electrical aspects of the project.
  • Work closely with engineers and contractors to ensure that electrical systems are optimized for performance and meet required standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure that all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and conduct site inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Handle any changes in project scope, schedule, or budget, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience, with 3 years in renewable energy, ideally solar/BESS.
  • Experience managing large-scale solar projects, with strong knowledge of electrical systems related to solar energy.
  • Good project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management software and electrical design tools.
  • Knowledge of UK regulations for electrical installations and renewable energy.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and hold a valid driver's license.
