Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our team at Anglia Components. As an experienced professional in import/export compliance, you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing regulatory compliance of our company.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of UK import/export regulations, including the movement of Dual Use and controlled goods. You will be responsible for identifying, communicating, and implementing updates to import/export processes to the latest regulations. Additionally, you will lead process improvement initiatives related to compliance processes and work closely with the Export Control Organisation (ECO) on compliance visits.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Import/Export Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and maintain effective import/export compliance procedures to ensure adherence to UK regulations.
  2. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in compliance processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Regulatory Updates: Stay up-to-date with the latest import/export regulations and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
  4. Compliance Training: Design and deliver compliance training programs to ensure employees understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to import/export compliance.
  5. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of import/export documentation and licenses.
  6. Liaison with Suppliers and Customers: Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.

Requirements

  • Certificate in Customs Compliance: Hold a Level 3-4 Certificate in Customs Compliance or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year's experience in import/export compliance, preferably within the electronics industry.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Language: Fluent English language skills.
