Cost Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our Business Management team at AWE plc within the Infrastructure Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a complex and dynamic project, with a focus on cost management and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain accurate cost data and reports, including forecasts, performance analysis, and earned value management.
- Assist in the development of cost systems and reports to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Maintain all cost data within the financial control system.
- Provide timely and focused cost reporting for key stakeholders.
- Accurately assess the Estimated Actual Cost (EAC).
- Ensure the correct implementation of earned value techniques and indices.
- Compare and analyze trends, identifying risk and opportunities.
- Review, accept, and integrate cost estimates and forecasts.
- Adhere to governance and cost standards and procedures.
- Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status.
- Success in a Project Controls environment or similar Cost role within Business Management.
- Adept with technology such as cost tools, Excel, and IT.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and build teams.
- A competitive salary, starting at £38,140, with opportunities for negotiation based on skills and experience.
- A 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday off.
- 270 hours of annual leave.
